Chemotherapy Senior Staff Nurse at Bristol Haematology & Oncology Centre and Treatment Support Nurse, Penny Brohn UK 

Susie qualified as a Registered General nurse at St.Thomas’ Hospital London in 1992 and gained a BSc Hons. Degree in cancer & Palliative Care Nursing at the Royal Marsden Hospital in 1996. She has over 25 years experience as a Chemotherapy Senior staff Nurse in a conventional hospital setting but something was missing in that environment. The question asked by patients ‘ What can I do to help myself?’ was often left unanswered. Six years ago, she joined the team at Penny Brohn UK, co-ordinating a Treatment Support Clinic for patients undergoing active treatment. The Integrative model that they use at Penny Brohn UK has helped equip Susie with the skills & knowledge to empower patients, providing them with the tools to help themselves. She now combines her time between working as a Chemotherapy Senior Staff Nurse at Bristol Haematology and Oncology Centre and Penny Brohn UK where she continues to learn about the integrative approach to cancer care.
