Jane Bulloch

Specialist Oncology Nurse, Circle Health, Bachelor of Nursing (Hons), Personal Trainer & Level 4 Cancer and Exercise Rehabilitation Specialist

Jane Bulloch is an experienced oncology nurse who worked at the Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust for over 15 years. Here she cared for complex surgical, medical, palliative and head and neck patients receiving many different treatment modalities for all tumour types. From 2010-2012 she lead a team of 55 allied health professionals as Ward Manager, and also assisted with the education of junior nurses and doctors in a practice educator role.

In 2016 she trained as a personal trainer, completed her exercise referral course and then her Level 4 Cancer and Exercise Rehabilitation course. CanRecover was founded, enabling Jane to support recovery through exercise for those living with and beyond cancer. She worked with clients in their own homes to gain strength before, during and after cancer treatment. She also completed the Pink Ribbon Post Breast Cancer Specialist course and ran classes at cancer support centres such as Jane Scarth House in Romsey.
Jane met Dr Nina Fuller-Shavel who introduced her to functional medicine and integrative cancer support; Jane has incorporated this whole person approach to her clients’ care ever since. She worked at Synthesis clinic in Kings Somborne.

Jane is currently working as a specialist oncology nurse for Circle Health in Winchester. Here she is working alongside the medical team to offer support and education during each individual’s unique cancer journey as well as assisting them to manage the consequences of their treatment, to improve resilience and their quality of life during chemotherapy and immunotherapy treatments.

During lockdown Jane worked as a remote cancer exercise specialist for the SafeFit research trial, supporting patients given a cancer diagnosis during the coronavirus (COVID-19) crisis. Jane was educating and enabling patients to optimise their physical health and wellbeing through exercise, nutrition and psychological support and behaviour change.
